Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre, has been enriching the lives of children through theatre for over 22 years.  Our vision at Broadway Bound is to help children and teens develop core life values through the tradition, process and discipline of live musical theatre.

We are accepting resumes for the following positions

Audio Designer and Engineer (A1)

Responsible for the sound design of Aladdin Jr. and Les Miserables School Edition and all audio engineering during tech/dress rehearsals and performances.

Duties include: attend all production meetings, and tech/dress rehearsals, and performances; design sound cues for the productions based on the needs of the scripts and conversations with the director and music directors. In charge of connecting and operating an AVID VENUE SC48 digital board with Shure wireless systems and attach body mics to all cast members.

Immediate start date until February 16th, 2020

Compensation: $3000

Music Director

Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre is looking for two music directors for our spring productions of Junie B. Jones The Musical and High School Musical. The music director works with the director and stage manager to determine a rehearsal plan to keep the show on schedule; make casting recommendations; attend auditions, rehearsals, production meetings, and performances; play piano accompaniment during rehearsals while teaching songs to performers; serve as conductor and first keys during tech/dress rehearsals and performances; lead a four to five-piece band; distribute and collect orchestra books and ensure they are returned in their original condition; call additional rehearsals if necessary with performers and/or musicians.

Candidates should be available to work from 4:30-6:30pm in the University District, Monday through Friday and two Saturdays leading up to performances in addition to any outside work they need to practice and work on the score. A complete calendar will be given to candidates during the interview process. Qualified candidates will have a background in musical theatre and are able to teach music to kids who may have no prior experience.

Stage Manager

Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre is looking for two stage managers for our spring productions of Junie B. Jones The Musical (with performers ages 5-9) and High School Musical (with performers ages 9-13.) The stage manager is responsible for working with the director and music director while training and working with child actors. This person can keep rehearsals on track with the entire cast and crew. The stage manager is responsible for all parent correspondence and communication between the production and artistic teams through rehearsal reports and attending production meetings. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the prompt book during rehearsals and will call the show during performances. Our program takes place after school from 4:30-6:30 with two Saturday rehearsals during the rehearsal process.

Assistant Stage Manager

Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre is looking for assistant stage managers for our spring productions of Junie B Jones The Musical and High School Musical! The ASM works closely with the stage manager and the actors during rehearsal, keeping kids on task, and checking them out with parents/guardians at the end of the day. The ASM also creates all run sheets for the performances, is responsible for maintaining the props during rehearsals and performances, and making sure the rehearsal studios are clean before and after rehearsals. Our program takes place after school from 4:30-6:30 with two Saturday rehearsals during the rehearsal process.
