Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre, has been enriching the lives of children through theatre for over 21 years.  Our vision at Broadway Bound is to help children and teens develop core life values through the tradition, process and discipline of live musical theatre.

Currently, we are accepting resumes for the following positions

Music Director

Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre is looking for someone with a background in musical direction for our spring production of Peter Pan! The music director  is responsible for teaching vocal parts to child actors ages 5-11 while playing piano accompaniment. This person feels comfortable leading rehearsals with the entire cast and with small groups. The music director also plays the first keys part during the shows at the same time as conducting a four-piece band. Our program takes place after school from 4:30-6:30 with two Saturday rehearsals during the rehearsal process. Located in the beautiful University District in Seattle.

Responsibilities include: Work with the director and stage manager to keep the show on schedule; attend rehearsals and performances; call additional rehearsals if necessary with performers.

Immediate start date. Candidates will need to agree to a background check. Compensation offered.

Audio Designer and Engineer

Responsible for the sound design of Peter Pan and Mamma Mia! and all audio engineering during tech/dress rehearsals and performances.

Duties include: attend all production meetings, and performances; design sound cues for the productions based on the needs of the scripts and conversations with the director and music directors. In charge of connecting and operating an AVID VENUE SC48 digital board with Shure wireless systems and attach body mics to all cast members.

March 25th start date. Performances May 10th through June 16th. Compensation offered.

Child Wrangler

A child wrangler is someone in rehearsal who can kindly work with kids ages 5-11. Responsibilities include taking kids to the restrooms and water fountain, taking children to first aid in the case of an injury, cleaning up after snack time, and assisting with a small groups to keep kids focused and relatively quiet when not being worked with during blocking or singing.

This role offers a $500 stipend or time spent in rehearsal can be added towards volunteer service hours.

Broadway Bound accepts resumes year-round from interested applicants, both for staff positions and for internships. We are particularly interested in receiving resumes from musical directors, stage managers, technical crew, and musicians.
