Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre, has been enriching the lives of children through theatre for over 21 years.  Our vision at Broadway Bound is to help children and teens develop core life values through the tradition, process and discipline of live musical theatre.

Currently, we are accepting resumes for the following positions

Choreographer

Broadway Bound Children’s Theatre is looking for someone with a background in dance and theatre with teaching experience for our fall/winter musical, Newsies! The choreographer is responsible for working with the director in creating and teaching appropriate dances to kids ages 10-19. Our program takes place after school from 4:30-6:30 with three Saturday rehearsals throughout the rehearsal process. We will need someone who is qualified and confident to choreograph and teach. Located in the beautiful University District in Seattle. Qualified candidates are able to teach choreography to children who may have no prior experience. 

Responsibilities include: Work with the director and stage manager to determine a rehearsal plan to keep the show on schedule; attend rehearsals, production meetings, and opening nights; call additional rehearsals if necessary with performers.

October 1st start date. Scheduled breaks from rehearsal adhere to the Seattle Public School calendar in November and December.

Assistant Stage Manager

Responsible for assistant stage managing of all casts of a full length musical with kids ages five to ten.

Duties include: attend all rehearsals, production meetings, and performances; assist in group work as needed; source and keep track of rehearsal and show props; create backstage run sheet; maintain the rehearsal rooms to ensure cleanliness and organization; assist performers in staying engaged and work with directors to create a productive and accepting environment; stand in for the stage manager if they are out for a rehearsal; assist in set, lights, and costume changeover and or strike; attend cast party at the end of the run.

October 1st start date. Performances January 11th-27th. Scheduled breaks from rehearsal adhere to the Seattle Public School calendar in November and December.

Broadway Bound accepts resumes year-round from interested applicants, both for staff positions and for internships. We are particularly interested in receiving resumes from musical directors, stage managers, technical crew, and musicians. We are also interested in people who would like to join our internship programs in production, development and administration.
