Have fun, celebrate musical theatre and help raise money to renovate our new home in Magnuson Park Theater!
It starts with an online karaoke contest
- Groups of up to five (including at least one adult) make a video of themselves performing a musical theatre song, backed by a karaoke track. (Want help? Sign up for our Karaoke Video Recording Pop-Up on Saturday, March 25th at the Broadway Bound Studios at UHeights.)
- Each group registers and uploads their video by Monday, April 3rd.
- All accepted video submissions are posted in a contest gallery and voting is enabled at $1 per vote between Friday, April 7th and Friday, April 28th .
- Groups with top-voted submissions are invited to perform at Magnuson Park Theater in a live showcase on Saturday, April 29th.

It culminates in an evening of fun - Saturday, April 29th
- There will be two pre-showcase gatherings –
- Adults will enjoy a VIP Reception with appetizers, desserts and drinks in the Officers Club in Building 30, across from Magnuson Park Theater. There will be a silent auction of great items and a raffle for a premium home karaoke system.
- For the kids, there will be a Pizza Party and some karaoke fun at the Mountaineers Club which is also a short walk from the theater.
- Adults and kids will come together to watch the showcase in Magnuson Park Theater.
- The showcase includes a ‘Raise the Paddle’ segment to kick off Broadway Bound’s capital campaign to raise funds for theater repairs and renovation.
