In Person Summer Camp FAQ
We are located in the University Heights Center on the top floor. Our address is 5031 University Way NE, Seattle, WA 98105
Due to Covid-19, we are opening each camps to only 8 students at this time. We will have a waitlist form that you can fill out in the chance that as thing progress this spring and summer we may add more spots to each of the in-person camps.
This year we have staggered start and end times for all camps based on their age groups.
Ages 5-7 are from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm
Ages 8-11 are from 9:15 am to 3:15 pm
Ages 11-14 are from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm
Our campers will work on songs and dances, as well as scenes from the shows they are doing. They will also play educational theatre games, that will help them learn about theatre etiquette, stage directions and performance skills.
We are still working on the technical aspects of how the Friday performances will work, we still cannot have audiences in person, but we will be offering a streamed performance for all to watch.
For each in person camp, we have one adult instructor, who is a professional in the industry, and one to two CIT (or Counselor in Training) who are between the ages of 13 and 19, to assist the instructor. Each camp may have Broadway Bound Staff members dropping into the camps to check on instructors.
We unfortunately do not provide lunches. Please make sure you send them with not only a lunch, but a water bottle and a couple snacks to get them through the day. Please Note that we are a NUT FREE Camp.
Campers should arrive to camp wearing clothes they can move in, preferably active wear. If your child wants to wear a dress, they should wear shorts underneath. Please no flip flops or sandals, it makes learning dances extra hard.
Broadway Bound is committed to providing access to theatre arts, regardless of situation. And we understand the financial and greater economic impacts of COVID-19 on the Seattle community and our families. Because of this commitment, we are still offering scholarships for our summer camps, email us at email@example.com for a scholarship form and we can discuss the particulars of the scholarships.
For all camps there is a cancellation fee of $150 if less than 1 week before the start of camp. No refunds will be given if cancellation is made after 5:00 pm on the Friday before camp begins.
