Summer Spotlight provides opportunities for teens and young adults to delve into all aspects of theatre by participating in a completely student-produced show each summer. Shows produced by Broadway Bound’s Summer Spotlight not only feature all-student casts, but are directed, designed, and produced by students. This creates opportunities for students to explore behind-the-scenes theatre careers and allows students to better understand and appreciate the varied types of work beyond just being on-stage that goes into a successful production. Summer Spotlight is a chance for students to see theatre in a new, more expansive light and gain experience and skills through mentoring as they work independently on their own production. The experience underscores the importance of every single individual who contributes to a production - whether behind and in front of the curtain.

Summer Spotlight is a teen-led program. Unlike BBCT mainstage shows, this means there is only one cast. Due to the program's popularity, we typically have more students auditioning than there are roles in the show. This means that ONLY the people cast in the show will pay tuition, of $400. Full and partial scholarships are available for any student who is cast in the show and cannot pay the fee.

Held at BBCT studios at UHeights - June 30th - August 7th
Rehearsals are from 5-9 pm, Tuesday-Thursday
Only actors working that rehearsal are called.
Extra rehearsals may be called as determined by the
artistic team and BBCT mentors.
